Introducing Instant Start Estimates

We just introduced Instant Start inside The Landscape Estimator — a faster way to begin building estimates without starting from scratch. Simply describe the job in plain language, and the system will generate a structured estimate draft using your existing estimating setup. It’s designed to reduce repetitive setup work while keeping your pricing, labor calculations, and estimating process fully intact.

Introducing Instant Start Estimates

We’ve added a new way to create estimates inside The Landscape Estimator: Instant Start.

Instead of building estimates entirely from scratch, you can now describe a job in plain language and let the system generate the starting structure for you.

The goal is simple: reduce repetitive setup work while keeping your estimating process intact.

Not Another “AI Guess” Estimating Tool

Istant Start does not generate random pricing or rely on generic AI assumptions.

Instead, it works using the estimating system you’ve already built inside The Landscape Estimator:

  • Your production rates

  • Your pricing formulas

  • Your labor calculations

  • Your service setup

  • Your estimate structure

When you enter a project description, Instant Start uses our growing library of landscaping service templates to identify the most relevant services and assemble a draft estimate framework around them.

That means the feature is grounded in real operational estimating logic, not just text generation.

How It Works

Describe the project in plain language, such as:

Weekly landscape maintenance with mowing, edging, blowing, hedge trimming, and seasonal weed control.

From there, Instant Start will attempt to:

  1. Match the correct service templates

  2. Build the estimate structure

  3. Fill in known measurements and quantities where possible

  4. Flag anything that still needs review before pricing

Your actual pricing engine remains unchanged throughout the process.

Production rates, formulas, labor calculations, and other variables continue working exactly as they were configured.

Designed to Improve Over Time

One of the advantages of building Instant Start directly into the estimating platform is that the system can improve as the template library and usage data grow.

As more estimates are created, Instant Start will continue getting better at:

  • Understanding landscaping job descriptions

  • Matching service templates accurately

  • Identifying common project patterns

  • Reducing manual estimate setup

The focus is long-term reliability and consistency, especially for contractors already using structured estimating processes.

Built to Assist, Not Replace, Estimators

Instant Start is meant to help contractors move faster through the early stages of estimate creation while still maintaining control over the final scope, pricing, and review process.

You can adjust, refine, and verify everything before the estimate is finalized.

The feature simply helps eliminate some of the repetitive setup work that comes with building similar estimates over and over again.
